Dual credit classes are designed for students who are prepared to meet college level academic expectations. Students who complete a dual credit course receive both high school and college credit. The student must be approved for admission by the university, and enroll through PCRHS.
Both PCRHS and the university must approve the course before a student may receive dual credit. Dual credit courses are identified on the student’s transcript and are transferable to many universities. Currently, students take classes at Marian University and IUPUI for dual credit. PCRHS is also considering partnerships with other universities.
PCRHS has received a generous grant to cover the costs of these college classes. Thus, students who enroll in dual credit classes are reducing their future college costs by receiving grants to cover the dual credit college costs.
