2016 Annual Appeal Message:

Dear Friends:

In this season of Thanksgiving, Providence Cristo Rey High School has much to be thankful for, as celebrate our 10th anniversary of educating financially disadvantaged urban students of great promise. We owe a debt of gratitude to the Archdiocese of Indianapolis and the Sisters of Providence for envisioning the future impact of and the willingness to open Providence Cristo Rey, to our many board members and corporate partners who partake in the mission of offering a transformational education to our students, and for the support and generosity of our many benefactors.

Thank you for sharing your prayers, time, talent and financial resources that provide Providence Cristo Rey students the opportunity to learn within a strong moral environment, engage in a rigorous college preparatory curriculum, and to participate in our unique Corporate Work Study program that prepares them for college, career and life. With continued dedication to our mission, we have been able to accomplish so much. Since 2011 we have realized a 219% growth in enrollment and still, maintain one of Providence Cristo Rey's best traditions . . . 100% of all our graduates have been accepted into college. Equally remarkable is 66% of all Providence Cristo Rey graduates, have either graduated from college or are still persisting to degree, compared to 15% of all Indiana graduates from a comparable demographic.
While we have many noteworthy accomplishments since the opening of our school that confirm we are truly fulfilling our mission of providing a transformative education, I am proud to share that over the past year Providence Cristo Rey High School was:
> Presented Indianapolis Urban League's 2015 Educational Excellence Award
> Bestowed the distinction of a Top Private Secondary School in 2015 by the Indianapolis Business Journal
> Awarded the 2016 Largest Growth in a High School College Dual Enrollment by Ivy Tech Community College
> Presented the Certificate of Appreciation from Indiana University's School of Informatics for partnership in Informatics Diversity Enhanced Workforce.
> Awarded the 2015-16 VEX Robotics Innovative Award.

None of this would have been possible without the support and generosity of individuals like you, who have shared our dream of lifting up those students most in need in order that they might share in that American dream to which we all aspire. It is our hope that you will continue to support the school, as your donation will change the lives of the remarkable young men and women we serve.
Below is an infographic of the many ways your donations benefit the growth of our students, in addition to the Institute for Quality Education SGO form outlining the Indiana scholarship tax credit program eligible to both individuals and corporations, allowing 50% tax credit against your Indiana tax liability for the amount donated. If you choose this program, please donate online or make your checks payable to The Institute for Quality Education, AFO. Please be sure to designate Providence Cristo Rey High School as your school of choice.

As we celebrate this wonderful season, I thank you on behalf of the Providence Cristo Rey community for your support and wish you a happy holiday season and joyous and prosperous New Year.

God Bless,
Joseph P. Heidt, President, and CEO
