The administration and staff at Providence Cristo Rey High School want to ensure the safety of all students and employees. We follow the National Weather Service wind chill and frost advisory when determining cold weather delays and closings.
If you have any questions regarding the impact of colder temperatures please refer to the National Weather Service Advisory chart. School will be delayed or canceled if temperatures are "at risk" for frostbite within 30 minutes. In the event of a delay or cancellation, families will receive a call from the school (please ensure we have the most accurate phone number on file). You may also check our website, Facebook page or Twitter feed and tune into local television stations.
What parents say about PCRHS:
"Olivia has gained confidence in herself and how proud she is of her success. I love that she comes home from school and tells me she prayed at school for family members. I am delighted she looks forward to going to her work site every week and that she is gaining professional skills in her work environment." - B. Major, mother of PCRHS student.
"Zaya and I chose PCRHS because we came from a small community and we were interested in a high school that would offer small class sizes and one-on-one support from teachers. We were impressed with the academic curriculum and corporate work study program What we like best is the parent/teacher communication. The teachers go above and beyond in creating an atmosphere where we all work together as a partnership to ensure my daughter succeeds." - Z. Lumumba, mother of a PCRHS student.
