The Cristo Rey Difference

PCRHS prepares students for college level academics. Each student has the opportunity to earn an Indiana Core 40 Diploma with Academic Honors. All students take four years of English, Math, and Science. See our full list of diploma requirements here.

We partner with five universities to offer a wide variety of dual credit options for 10th, 11th, & 12th graders.

PCRHS is a 1:1 learning environment, meaning that all students have access to a laptop during the school day.

Beginning during their freshman year, students are taught a college readiness curriculum that focuses on applying to college, paying for college, and succeeding as a college student. Our small class sizes mean students get more time with college counselors than students at a traditional school.

Starting freshman year, students work one day each week at one of our 90+ corporate partners in Indianapolis. Over the course of four years, each student gains a total of 1,000 hours of professional experience.

There is also a classroom component to the work student experience - students learn how to write a resume and cover letter, get guidance on picking a college major, and other real-life skills that will help them succeed after Providence Cristo Rey.

As a Catholic school, we are proud to be able to help young men and women develop their full potential academically and spiritually. Students do learn about the Catholic faith in Theology classes, but do not have to be Catholic to attend. Our goal is to make sure each student explores and deepens their own faith life, whatever tradition that may be.

We are sponsored by the Sisters of Providence, and strive to build up their values of love, mercy, and justice in each student that attends our school.
