Providence Cristo Rey High School administrators, teachers and school staff believe that they partner with parents and guardians in the education of their students. Therefore, we encourage ongoing two-way communication between home and school via telephone, the internet, and regularly scheduled meetings. Teachers call parents with both good news and need to improve reports about individual students. The school hosts quarterly progress report meetings and provides access to an on-line grade reporting site. The counseling department sponsors sessions on college readiness and financial aid information and provides opportunities for both parents and students to do college visits as a group. It also assists families to access social services and other resources.
Parents are directly involved at Providence Cristo Rey, helping with the snack during social time, chaperoning school activities, and cheering on our sports teams. This summer, they will launch a parent mentoring program to maintain contact with new Providence Cristo Rey parents and answer any questions they may have.
